There will be six lab exercise during the first six
weeks. Labs are due at 11:59pm on the Wednesday after they are assigned.
Lab times and groups are listed below.
Lab 1: make music with PD
After completing the lab,
create a text-file describing what you modified and anything we need to know to test your patch. Put this file in your lab1 directory.
Then copy your lab1 folder to the lab write-up directory:
~> cd ~/250a
~/250a> cp -r lab1/ /usr/ccrma/courses/250a/lab-writeups/YOUR_LOGIN_HERE/
The deadline is Wednesday October 1,
11:59pm.
Lab 2: AVR - discrete
After completing the lab, show your
results in your AVR board to the TA. This can be done during the lab
2 session, or in the following week session (lab 3). In addition, you
have to submit a txt (text) file with all your answers and comments on
the lab. The deadline for that is Wednesday Oct. 8, 11:59pm. Copy this file to the lab2 submission directory:
~> cd ~/250a
~/250a> cp lab2/writeup.txt /usr/ccrma/courses/250a/lab-writeups/YOUR_LOGIN_HERE/
Lab 3: sensors - circuits - OSC
For
submit a writeup as follows. The deadline is Wednesday October 15,
11:59pm.
~> mkdir /usr/ccrma/courses/250a/lab-writeups/YOUR_LOGIN_HERE/lab3
~> cd ~/250a
~/250a> cp lab3/writeup.txt /usr/ccrma/courses/250a/lab-writeups/YOUR_LOGIN_HERE/lab3/
Lab 4: Filters and Gesture Tracking
After completing the lab,
show your work to the TA during the lab or in the next session, and
send a text file with your answers and comments (as usual).
The deadline is Wednesday October 22, 11:59pm.
Lab 5: Haptics
After completing the lab,
show your work to the TA during the lab or in the next session, and
send a text file with your answers and comments (as usual).
The deadline is Wednesday October 29, 11:59pm.
Lab 6: Mini-Instrument
After completing the lab,
show your work to the TA during the lab or in the next session, and
send a text file with your answers and comments (as usual).
The deadline is Wednesday November 5, 11:59pm.
