pd user's guide
Pd (which stands for "Pure Data") is a real-time graphical programming environment for audio and graphics analysis and rendering. Pd's audio functions are built-in; graphical computations require a separate package named GEM ("Graphics Environment for Multimedia"). Pd is being developed by Miller Puckette at UCSD's Music Department.
How to use
At ccrma you can use pd on the O2 SGI's in the Trailer and at Studio D, and on any of the Linux workstations.
To start pd simply type "pd" in a terminal, either in one of the SGI O2's or in a Linux PC... go to the help menu and browse the online documentation (or follow this link for the online text).
