We presented an enhancement to the DUET system in the form of a
new demixing algorithm. The new approach uses delay and scale
subtraction scoring (DASSS) to determine the active source(s) in a
particular bin of a particular frame. We considered the role of
the new scoring approach on determining the number of sources
present in a given bin of a frame, and described related problems.
We outlined a future approach for demixing multiple sources in
such cases, and highlighted that the new approach benefits from
the DASSS technique.
In the near future, we will formalize the decision process about
which two sources are present in the two source case. We will
also develop the algorithm that allows sources to be considered
only when they fit the harmonics plus noise model.
