Overview

In this paper, we examine the phase of a continuous time linear-frequency chirp centered about DC. We obtain closed form expressions for the second derivative of the phase at DC when a rectangle or Hann window is used. Finally, we apply this result to the problem of chirp parameter estimation for the Hann window case. The proof (including closed-form expressions) and appendix are the work of Yi-Wen Liu.
