Garcia was born in Bahia Blanca, South of Argentina, where he performed
classical and popular music, and studied classical guitar and electronics
engineering. He moved to France, where he earned a Master's in audio signal
processing from the University of Paris and was a researcher in computer
music at the Pompidou Center, where he created the voice soundtrack for
the movie "Farinelli" (Oscar's '95 nominee). He then moved to California
in 1996 and is currently working on a Ph.D. in audio signal processing at
CCRMA/Stanford University.
